Message from the President

Howie Homes is a Custom Home Building Business building homes in the Ottawa Valley for 28 years under the name of Brian Howie Carpentry Inc. Our custom home division is named Howie Homes. I myself have had over 30 years experience as a licensed carpenter while our foreman has been with us for 27 years which in this industry is quite unique.

Many contractors are not trades people, and therefore have never worked of a site. They don’t have as good an understanding of what can be feasibly done within appropriate time frames. Some contractors also do this as a second job, not being available all of the time. This is our full time job, and we strive to become masters of it.

Over the years we have groomed a number of trades to show what kind of quality we have come to expect. These trades have been loyal to us throughout the years, are fully qualified, and are here for the long haul. There are people out there building that are just out for a fast buck, and won’t be there at a later date for their customers, leaving them with no recourse whatsoever. We are fully insured and Tarion registered which should put our customers minds to rest.

We build primarily locally, and have had many repeat customers. Having worked this long in a small community proves we are reliable and trustworthy. We have our own framing and finishing crews, making us unique in this business. Most building contractors don’t have their own crews, and instead have to sub-contract even the framing and finishing work, which as you probably already know, is an integral part of the project. Our quality is recognized by other builders, who hire our framing and finishing crews.
